Milestone House is not JUST a residential treatment program for foster teens, we’re a lot more!
This year we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Milestone House, and we’re so proud of what we’ve accomplished over these past 3 decades.
Milestone House has been operating out of the same home since 1992. We are located in a residential neighborhood in Oceanside. We have 3 bedrooms which are shared amongst 6 residents plus a granny flat and a pool. Milestone House is truly a home and a safe space for the residents who are lucky enough to get placed here.
We have 24-hour staff on site every day of the week, all year round. It takes a village of qualified, caring team members to meet the needs of our residents.
Leadership team members include our CEO Beverly Boone, an Assistant Director of Program Operations, a Program Operations Coordinator, a Senior Assistant Program Manager, a Social Worker, and a Board of Directors.
At Milestone House, we emphasize independent living skills and teach our clients how to care for themselves, gain independence, and learn the skills they will need when they leave the foster care system. Our program has a strong emphasis on education.
We work with foster programs throughout the state of California, often taking in residents from outside of San Diego when placement needs are in high demand.
At Milestone House we take pride in offering services beyond the stay of our residents. We offer an “after care” program which provides mental health therapy to any of the residents we’ve served.
As you can see, there’s a lot more to Milestone House than being JUST a residential treatment facility!
